Latino/a programs and services at the Cross Cultural and Gender Center works hard to offer presentations and panels that provide education and awareness regarding Latino/a/x issues to the Fresno State community. Informational Resources
Any Fresno State professor, instructor or department may request an in-class presentation from this program. Please click HERE to request a presentation for the Fall 2020 semester. The deadline for Fall requests is September 7th, 2020. Due to limited availability and COVID-19, we may not be able to fulfill your request. Requests submitted past the deadline will rarely be considered.

Living On the Borderlands: This presentation will discuss the concept of "not from here, nor from there"

The "X" in LatinX: This presentation will discuss the controversial topic of the addition of the X to Latino/a.

Dismantling anti-Blackness in the Latinx Community: This presentation will discuss the ways that Latinx people perpetuate an anti-Black narrative and will discuss what we can do as a community to uplift Black voices.
Hear about the lived experiences of Latino/a/x individuals from a panel of 3 to 4 self-identifying Latino/a/x people (including a Q&A). Individuals will discuss their experiences as first-generation college students. Being a student de primera generacion is unique and these narratives can be helpful to those wanting to understand more about this particular experience.
