Naloxone (Narcan)

Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids - including heroin, fentanyl, and prescription opioid medication - when given in time.  Naloxone is easy to use and small to carry.  Anyone can use it without medical training or authorization.

Request FREE Naloxone Nasal Spray at the Student Health and Counseling Center, Student REC Center, Student Housing (Atrium) and the Wellness To-Go Vending Machine in the Resnick Student Union.* (*It is a box of 2 sprays per request.)


California Senate Bill (SB) 367, also known as the Campus Opioid Safety Act, aims to reduce opioid-related deaths and overdoses at public colleges and universities in California. The law went into effect on January 1, 2023.

 

Test Strips

  • Drink Test Strips (tests for GHB, Ketamine, Scopolamine and other amine-based drugs, also known as "date rape" drugs) are available for free at the Student Health and Counseling Center (SHCC) Pharmacy.
  • Fentanyl Test Strips can also be found at the SHCC Pharmacy and in the Wellness To-Go Vending Machine.

Assembly Bill No. 1524 states that all post secondary education institutions have on-campus access to drug testing devices (alcohol test strips).
