We accept all valid prescriptions from community physicians and from Student Health and Counseling Center staff, as long as we stock the medication. If you have a special request, feel free to call us to confirm availability.
Prescriptions written by Student Health and Counseling Center physicians can also be filled at outside pharmacies. However, our prices are often lower than those at most community drug stores. Please note that all pricing is subject to change based on availability.
We carry a variety of commonly prescribed medications, including antibiotics, antidepressants, anti-inflammatory drugs, allergy medications, and more. Prices typically range from $4 to $30, depending on the medication and quantity.
If you're looking for something specific, please contact us to check if it's in stock or can be ordered.
Our pharmacy offers a variety of affordable over-the-counter products. Students are welcome to browse our selection at their convenience.
We carry items such as allergy relief, pregnancy tests, cold and flu medications, pain relievers, contraceptives, and personal care products. Most items are priced between $1 and $20, with generics used whenever possible to keep costs low.
Please note that prices may vary based on availability. Please contact us if you are looking for a specific over the counter product.
Refills on existing prescriptions can be requested two ways:
- Requests can be made by calling the Pharmacy at 559.278.6720, or
- You can send a request via your MyBulldogHealth
Contact the Pharmacy at least one business day before needing the medication to allow time to process your request. This will also minimize your wait time.
If you have no refills, we will contact your provider to request a refill at his or her discretion. Filled prescriptions are left on the Pharmacy shelf for seven days. Prescriptions not picked up within seven days will be reprocessed.
NEW! Let us know if you would like a text when your prescription is ready.
Prescriptions belong to the pharmacy that fills them. However, they may be transferred via phone by the pharmacist. For example, if you are out of town and need a prescription transferred to that town, you must phone the pharmacy in that town, give them the name of the pharmacy, phone number, and name of the medication you want transferred and the filling pharmacy will call.
Once a prescription is transferred, it is then the property of the pharmacy it was transferred to. If you return to Fresno State after a prescription has been transferred, it must be transferred a second time to bring it back here. It can take a significant amount of time to complete these transactions. Please plan ahead.
All medications incur a small fee that covers our costs.
At this time we do not have the ability to bill your insurance, but we can give you a receipt for your insurance request for reimbursement.
We do not accept any payment at the Student Health and Counseling Center. All payments are billed directly to your MyFresnoState account.
