In Florence, Watson was one of nearly 20 students, studying Italian and the historical, cultural and artistic traditions of the city. The course itinerary included visiting Palazzo Vecchio, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Boboli Gardens, and other museums and galleries.

Anthony Agueda recalls the Christmas mornings of his childhood — spent working on his family’s dairy farm with his siblings, cousins, uncles, father and grandfather. “Cows, and agriculture, in general, require around-the-clock care,” Agueda said. “It isn’t a job, it’s a way of life.”
