Student Organizations

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
A student-led club at Fresno State affiliated with one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States. NSBE was founded in 1975 to support and promote the educational journey of Black students specializing in engineering and technology. NSBE supports students on their academic pathway and beyond graduation through networking events with Black engineering and technology professionals.

Black Christian Ministries (BCM)
BCM is a branch of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship organization on campus. BCM is a college campus faith-based club passionate about rooting their educational journey in their faith and beliefs by keeping Jesus Christ at the forefront. BCM focuses on building a faith-based community, missionary work, and introducing people to the word of God: weekly meetings, Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. Location varies.

Africana Studies Student Association
A student-led club at Fresno State that strives to create a safe space for conversations around the African Diaspora. We strive to encourage students to take Africana studies courses to learn more about the history and culture. On and off campus, we offer ways to gain in-person and hands-on experience when discussing and learning about different topics relating to the African diaspora. This includes hosting open forum discussions, hosting and participating in events that promote culture and history, and even taking local and out-of-state trips.

Black Student Union (BSU)
A student-led club that involves social-political organizing and movements that enhance Black consciousness. On our campus, BSU can provide a source of community, leadership, and advocacy for Black students, current and future.

Fresno State NAACP
A college chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). NAACP is the oldest and boldest civil rights organization, founded in 1909. We do advocacy work to achieve equity, political rights, and social inclusion. On campus, we do events to educate people about things that impact our community. We also do social events to bring our campus community together, like our annual Black Excellence Gala.

Red Wavettes
The Fresno State Red Wavettes are a Majorette devoted to entertaining the Red Wave. They energize fellow Bulldogs by performing high-energy choreographic routines to the tunes of the Bulldog Marching Band. The majorette team performs at athletic events and competes in competitions with precise routines to reflect the team's unique dance compositions while highlighting their talent to the world.

All students, regardless of race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin, who are interested in partcipating in a student organization are welcome.
