Direct immigration legal services are available free of charge to CSU students and employees. Attorneys and paralegals are available to assist students with general consultations, DACA renewals and general assistance in filling out forms such as family-based petitions. This project aims to serve undocumented students, students with immigration questions, staff, and faculty. The non-profit agency providing legal services to Fresno State is Immigrant Legal Defense (ILD).

Financial Aid Options for Dreamers:

Renewing the CA Dream Act for the 2027-2028 Academic Year Workshops

The 2027–2028 California Dream Act Application (CADAA) will open on October 1, 2026, and the priority deadline to file is March 2, 2027. We encourage students to schedule an appointment with us to talk about renewing their CADAA, funding options (especially if they’re close to exhausting their Cal Grants), why it’s important to renew every year, as well as opportunities for grants, scholarships, and aid for credential and graduate students.

Monthly Workshops

The Dream Success Program will be hosting monthly workshops for students. These workshops will be facilitated by DSC staff but led by students. This is a safe space for students to share their experiences and relate to one another. Students who attend the workshops will be eligible for a $500 scholarship! Webinars with Immigration Legal Defense Attourneys will also count toward scholarship eligibility. Those events will be via zoom. Please be on the lookout for workshop dates for this upcoming semester.

For new First Time Freshmen and Transfer students.  Come and learn about the services in the Dream Success Program, financial aid for Dreamers, and Q&A session.

Dates will be posted soon for our new Transfer and Returning students for Fall 2026.
