Campus Assessment, Response, and Evaluation (CARE)
CARE Team
CARE Team is a collaborative effort to identify students who are facing significant personal struggles, in distress, or students of concern that may benefit from additional support or resources. By using a community approach to foster the well-being of every student, the Fresno State community can collectively build a strong and healthy environment.
Mission
The mission of CARE Team is to provide collaborative approach for coordinating a supportive response to students who are facing significant personal struggles, in distress, or students of concern.
Goals
- Minimize barriers that impede student success
- Provide a proactive approach to students in need with resources, support and referrals
- Be a resource for campus on issues related to students of concern
- Ensure follow through with case management and/or intervention plan(s)
Important Note
CARE Team does not take the place of standard classroom management techniques utilized by faculty. Nor does implementation of CARE Team alter any existing discipline policies. Rather, CARE Team centralizes the reporting of concerning behavior and encourages early intervention or provides consultation for crisis management.
