The Amendola Family Student Cupboard
The Amendola Family Student Cupboard is a free food and hygiene pantry for currently enrolled Fresno State students. Students are able to choose from a variety of perishable and non-perishable items to take home to cook. Hygiene packs are distributed on the first and third Wednesdays and Thursdays each month.
At the Amendola Family Student Cupboard you can shop the same way you would at a grocery store. Grab a shopping basket and grab up to one of each item (unless their is a sign that says otherwise) and as many fruits and vegetables as you would like. Once you have finished shopping, head to the front desk with your items and a Student Assistant will check you out using your Fresno State ID card or Student ID number.
We are currently operating on Summer Hours from May 22 through August 4. We will be open over the summer Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Regular semester hours will resume on August 7. Semester hours are:
- Mondays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Fridays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Amendola Family Student Cupboard is open when campus is open and closed during campus holiday closures.
The Amendola Family Student Cupboard is located in Industrial Technology, room 144. We are on the corner of Barstow and Jackson. Parking is available in P20 across the street from the Student Cupboard with a semester parking permit, or in P21 at the meters.
If you're dropping off a donation, please call the Student Cupboard at 559.278.6621 and someone can meet you in the back of the building to collect your donation so you don't have to pay to park.
The Amendola Family Student Cupboard is primarily funded by monetary donations. We also accept food and hygiene donations as long as items are not expired or past a best by date.
The Amendola Family Student Cupboard is open to all currently enrolled Fresno State students. We do not require students to provide proof of needing food or complete any paperwork to receive it.
If you're curious about how many students have visited The Amendola Family Student Cupboard, when our busiest months are, or how many visits we have each year, you can visit our Student Cupboard Dashboard.
We understand that not all students are able to make it to The Amendola Family Student Cupboard right now because they are not in the area. Here are a few different resources that are available to you:
