Advisor Awards Nomination Criteria

An employee whose primary professional role is advising students. This can also include specialized support services for student groups.

  • Demonstration of knowledge of overall academic requirements and various resources on campus
  • Encouraging student engagement in extracurricular or co-curricular activities
  • Demonstration of interest in their personal wellbeing and sense of belonging
  • Instructs student on how to read/understand their DPR, Transcripts, and other useful tools to track their progress
  • Guide students through various unforeseen struggles and hurdles which occur during their educational pathway.

A faculty member (aka: instructor, professor) who meets with students to discuss their academic progress and goals.

  • Demonstration of knowledge of overall academic requirements and various resources on campus
  • Encouraging student engagement in extracurricular or co-curricular activities
  • Demonstration of interest in the personal and academic development of students
  • Instructs student on how to read/understand their DPR, Transcripts, and other useful tools to track their progress
  • Encourages career readiness and preparedness for the next step in their educational or professional journey
