API Programs and Services
- The Asian Pacific Islander Programs and Services at California State University, Fresno is a central location for students, staff, faculty, and community members to engage with the Asian Pacific Islander (API) history, experience, and culture. The program also partners and collaborates with campus departments, student organizations, and community partners to organize and facilitate events that directly support and address the needs of the API community.
Mission
- to support and provide a space for students, faculty, staff, and the community to educate, learn, and share the history, experiences, and culture of Asian Pacific Islander (API) identities.
Vision
- to build an API network at Fresno State that will connect students, faculty, staff, and the community to promote their success.
Lunar New Year
- Lunar New Year is celebrated in February by many different Asian identities. This event features many different dances, cultural activities, and food. It is one of the most anticipated events of the year.
Connect to Campus
- This event is a continuation of the event Journey to Success. Connect with API Students, Faculty, Staff and Administrators. Meet a Mentor. Join an API Student Club/Organization. Learn about campus resources and services!
Hmong New Year
- Every year, in collaboration with the Hmong Student Association and Asian Social Work Organization, the program holds a Hmong New Year Day on campus. Following this event, the program also provides live tours of the Fresno Hmong New Year.
API Heritage Month
- This month celebrates the achievements and pays tribute to the generations of Asian and Pacific Islanders who have enriched America's history and are instrumental in its future success.
Lunch and Learns
- Lunch and Learns are panel discussions, presentations, and spaces where students, staff, and faculty gather to learn and discuss topics pertaining to the API community. Recent topics include API mental health, student success as male-identifying API students, and API Faculty experiences in higher education.
API Commencement
- API Commencement is a graduation ceremony for Fresno State API students. We welcome families and friends of our students and celebrate their successes.

Our biggest event of the year!
Everyone is welcome to join us this year at the Asian Pacific American Hertiage Month
Celebration!
This event is a celebration of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The month of May recognizes the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.
We will have performances, guest speakers, fashion shows, and giveaways.
Light food and refreshments will also be provided.
Parking is free after 5pm for all attendees.
