Programs and Services
The Student Health and Counseling Center (SHCC) at Fresno State is here to support your health and well-being. Our Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) programming and services offer resources for students who are sober-curious, navigating substance use, or wanting to support a friend or family member.
With safety summits, counseling, and drop-in recovery meetings, we provide education, prevention tools, and a safe space to explore your choices. Whether you're seeking support, information, or connection, we’re here to help you thrive! Below is a list of resources and services available at the SHCC*.
Bulldogs 4 Recovery (B4R)

- Friday's at 3:30 p.m. (In-Person)
- Tuesday's at 12:30 p.m. (Zoom)
- Friday's at 11 a.m. (Hybrid with Center for Essential Needs)

Counseling and Psychological Services
Fresno State's Student Health and Counseling Center offers services including:

WATCHDOG CPR and Empowerment Self-Defense
Fresno State's WATCHDOG Safety Summit (CPR) Edition and Empowerment Self Defense (ESD) Edition are both 3-hour programs that train students to respond effectively in emergencies and familiarize them with campus safety resources.
