Family Weekend returns to Fresno State! We hope you can join us to celebrate Fresno
State and all your student's accomplishments at the university. In a weekend devoted
to student families and supporters, we hope you are able to take some time to explore
the Fresno State community. Catch up with your student, tour the campus, and enjoy
all Fresno State has to offer.
Families can register for Family Weekend using the form below. Participating family
members over the age of 10 must each register separately although your Fresno State
student can participate free of charge with a registered family member. Tickets to
the football game can be purchased as well but all attendees over the age of 2 must
have their own football ticket.
You can view the current Family Weekend schedule below. Check back in the coming weeks
as we add more events and activities to the Family Weekend schdule!
REGISTRATION
You can register for Family Weekend by filling out the online reservation form or
by filling out the pdf below. The completed pdf can be emailed to kternate@mail.fresnostate.edu
Payment for Family Weekend can be madeusing one of the methods below.

Programs office in the Joyal Administration Building, room 131.

Friday, October 14
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Family Weekend Welcome Booth and Check-In
Stop by the Joyal Administration Building to pick up your Family Weekend materials
including your t-shirt. We'll be in the New Student and Family Programs Office in
Joyal 131 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Kennel Bookstore
Stop by the Kennel Bookstore on campus or the Kennel Marketplace in Campus Pointe
to be entered in the Family Weekend raffle. Fill out a raffle ticket and grab some
gear for your student and the game! Show off your Bulldog Spirit!
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Phebe Conley Art Gallery
Make your may to the Conley Art Building on campus to enjoy the Interwoven art show
exhibiting the work of graduate students on-campus
11:00 a.m. - Margie Wright Diamond
Join us as we cheer on our women's softabll team as they take on the Stanislaus State
Warriors! The Margie Wright Diamond is located on the northwest corner of campus and
will be the location of our tailgate on Saturday.
4:00 p.m. - Fresno State Planetarium
Join us for a show at the Fresno State Poanetarium located on-campus near the intersection
of Maple Ave and San Ramon Ave. Come early as seating is limited to the first 70 people.
CANCELLED - Unfortunately due to illness our Paint n Sip had to be cancelled. We will reschedule
to our Spring Family Day and everyone who had a reservation will have their reservation
honored for that event. We apologize for the bad news.
5:30 p.m. - Smittcamp Alumni House
Join us for an event of painting with the Student Affairs resident artist. A little
bit of paint, a little bit of Fresno State wine, and some hors d'oeuvres, sounds like
a relaxing evening. Limited to 25 participants.

Saturday, October 15

9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Rec Center Open House
Stop by the Student Recreation Center to work out. Family Weekend attendees will be
able to utilize the gym facilities and get your heart racing. The Rec Center is located
on the southeast part of the campus next to the Save Mart Center
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Mexibulous
The Fresno State Graduate Art Studies Gallery located in downtown Fresno is holding
an exhibit to showcase artwork from Oaxaca, Mexico. This interaction of art and culture
is a great experience for Family Weekend attendees.
11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Fall Festival
The Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market is holding their annual fall festival and plant
sale.
11:00 a.m. - Women's Equestrian vs Auburn
Join us at the Student Horse Center on campus as the Women's Equestrian team takes
on Auburn. A great way to experience another side of Fresno State athletics.
11:00 a.m. - Women's Volleyball vs Wyoming
Make your way to the Save Mart Center as the Women's Volleyball team takes on Wyoming.
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Campus Tour
Join us for a campus tour to see some of the best kept secrets at Fresno State including
the new Resnick Student Union.
3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. - Family Weekend Check-In
Stop by Margie Wright Stadium to pick up your Family Weekend materials. We'll be right
outside the softball stadium where the tailgate will take place.
4:30 p.m - 7:00 p.m. - Family Weekend Tailgate
Good food, good company, good music, and a bunch of good people. Stop by the Family
Weekend tailgate fill up on food and drink before heading out to the game. The tailgate
will take place at the Margie Wright Softball Stadium on the concourse. Located near
the intersection of Cedar and Barstow, we're close to the football stadium when it's
time to cheer for the Dogs!
7:00 p.m. - Fresno State football vs San Jose State
Join us in the Family Weekend section as we cheer on the football team. Versus a very
old rival, the Bulldogs will take on the Spartans in this Mountain West matchup. Go
Dogs!
Everyone over the age of 2 will need to purchase their own football ticket to attend.

Sunday, October 16
9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Family Weekend Check-In
Stop by the Smittcamp Alumni House to pick up your Family Weekend materials including
your t-shirt if you haven't already. We'll be inside the Smittcamp Alumni House where
brunch will take place.
Join us for a relaxed Sunday Brunch. After a late night of football a little breakfast
is just what the doctor ordered. No mimosas but there will be raffle prizes and the
Spirit Squad will be present for pictures.
We'll also be conducting a small service project on-site to benefit the Fresno Community
12:00 p.m. - Women's Soccer vs Utah State
Looking for one last opportunity to cheer on the Dogs? Women's soccer will be taking
place at the soccer stadium on campus. Go Dogs!
1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market Tour
Join us at the Farm Market for an event exclusive to Family Weekend attendees. A little
ice cream and a little wine tasting to end the weekend on a high note.
2:30 p.m. - Behind the Scenes Tour
Safety on campus is a top priority. Join us for a behind the scenes look at the Police
department on campus and all they do to keep the campus safe. Due to space limitations
this will be limited to 15 people.
OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER
For those of you coming from out of town we will also be adding information about
other events going on in the Fresno community. It will be a fun filled weekend in
Fresno in case you'd like to check out other things going on off-campus. Here are
some other things to keep in mind when planning your visit.
Homecoming
October 10 - 15th is Homecoming Week at Fresno State. There will be several student
events happening during the week so the campus will have a little more energy than
normal.
Registered families will receive a parking permit code to use for events taking place
on Friday, October 14th. Parking is normally relaxed on the weekend at Fresno State
except for football.
Be prepared for a little traffic and a separate fee to park unless you arrive early.
