Family Weekend - Spring 2027
Family Weekend has been postponed to the spring semester due to unavoidable circumstances. We apologize to those families who were looking forward to celebrating their students during Family Weekend. Although the overall event has been cancelled, families attending the football game can still attend some of the events particularly those associated with Homecoming.
We hope you can join us to celebrate Fresno State and all your student's accomplishments at the university. In a weekend devoted to student families and supporters, we hope you are able to take some time to explore the Fresno State community. Catch up with your student, tour the campus, and enjoy all Fresno State has to offer.
Participating family members over the age of 10 must each register separately although your Fresno State student can participate free of charge with a registered family member. Tickets to the football game can be purchased through Athletics website. Football tickets are not included in the Family Weekend packages.
SCHEDULE
We are actively working on the Family Weekend schedule. The 2026 schedule will be
posted shortly although we will continue to add events and workshops leading up to
Family Weekend in October. You can see the details for Family Weekend last year to
give you an idea of the types of events that are planned.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS for 2026
Friday, October 9
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Family Weekend Check-In
Stop by the Joyal Administration Building to pick up your Family Weekend materials. We'll be in the New Student and Family Programs Office in Joyal 131 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Grab your bag with your info packet, t-shirts, and name badge.
7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Kennel Bookstore
Stop by the Kennel Bookstore on campus to be entered in the Family Weekend raffle. Drop off your raffle ticket at customer service and grab some gear for your student and the game! Show off your Bulldog Spirit!
The Bookstore will also be open on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. so there's some time to drop off your raffle ticket. The raffle prize will be given away during the Sunday Brunch.
3:00 p.m. - Meet in front of the Joyal Administration Building.
Join us for a guided campus and library tour to see some of the best kept secrets of the library. See hard to find gems of the library including the historical timeline of Fresno State.

Cineculture conducts in-person movie screenings to promote cultural awareness through film. Students can earn upper division GE course credit by enrolling in MCJ 179 and watching all the Cineculture films.
Join the campus community in the Student Recreation Center to enjoy a look into the American institution of the public library.

8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - Family Weekend Check-In

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Peter's Business Building, Rm 131 and 134
Do you have an artistic side? Join us for a mosaic art class with a Central Valley artist. Limited to the first 50 people who arrive. Participants will pick up their completed masterpiece at the Sunday Brunch. You can learn more about hte artist and see examples of her work on the website below.
12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. - University Dining Hall
Does your student live on-campus in the dorms? You can join them for lunch or dinner on Saturday, October 25th for a free meal. Experience Fresno State dorm food at it's finest. Grab a bite and experience the University Dining Hall. You can choose between lunch or dinner since the football game time was changed.
12:00 p.m. - Women's Volleyball vs Boise State
Make your way to the Save Mart Center as the Women's Volleyball team takes on Boise State.
TBD - Swim and Dive
Make your way to the Aquatics Center where the Fresno State Swim and Dive team will have an Alumni Meet. A great opportunity to check out the Aquatics Center for a lively alumni competition.
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Farm Market
Visit the on-campus Farm Market and stock up on a variety of products many made by students. Be sure to stop by for some wine tasting and treat yourself to some free ice cream during your visit.
3:00 p.m - 6:30 p.m. - Family Weekend Tailgate
Good food, good company, and a bunch of good people. Stop by the Family Weekend tailgate fill up on food and drink before heading out to the game. The tailgate will take place at the Social Sciences Quad. Located near the intersection of N Campus Dr and E San Ramon Ave.
Parking during football games can be hectic. Normally parking is free on the weekends but during football games, athletics has a separate charge. Arrive early to avoid the crowds and challenges of parking during a football game.
You can also check-in at the tailgate to receive your materials if you have not already checked in.
7:30 p.m. - Fresno State football vs Boise State
The Bulldogs will take on the Broncos in this PAC 12 matchup. It will be a Boots and Buckles theme game along with Homecoming.
Everyone over the age of 2 will need to purchase their own football ticket to attend. Football tickets will need to be purchased separately through athletics for everyone interested in attending.

Sunday, October 11
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Family Weekend Check-In
Stop by the Smittcamp Alumni House to pick up your Family Weekend materials including your t-shirt if you haven't already. We'll be inside the Smittcamp Alumni House where brunch will take place.
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Sunday Brunch - Smittcamp Alumni House
Join us for a relaxed Sunday Brunch. After a late night of football a little breakfast is just what the doctor ordered. No mimosas but there will be raffle prizes and the cheerleaders and Time Out will be present for pictures.
We'll also be playing Loteria during brunch for some prizes. Have some fun playing games while we eat.
Anyone who participated in the Saturday Mosaic class will be able to pick up their grouted masterpiece during the brunch.
OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER
For those of you coming from out of town we will also be adding information about other events going on in the Fresno community. It will be a fun filled weekend in Fresno in case you'd like to check out other things going on off-campus. Here are some other things to keep in mind when planning your visit.
Homecoming
October 5-10 is Homecoming Week at Fresno State. There will be several student events happening during the week so the campus will have a little more energy than normal.

Parking
Registered families will receive a parking permit code to use for events taking place on Friday, October 24th. Parking is normally relaxed on the weekend at Fresno State except for football. Parking is relaxed on Friday evenings after 4:00pm.
Be prepared for a little traffic and a separate fee to park for football unless you arrive early, usually before 12:00 noon.
