Dog Days
Welcome to Dog Days: New Student Orientation!
We are excited to welcome the incoming Fall 2026 class of Bulldogs. There's a lot of amazing things that will be happening at Dog Days. We can't wait to welcome you all to campus this winter!
Reservation Information
The Dog Days reservation system will open on January 15th for incoming Fall 2026 students. Students will have until May 1st to register for Dog Days and accept your admission to the university. Dog Days Orientations will take place in June and July in-person. There will be a virtual orientation in mid-July for students unable to attend in-person. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-serve basis so make sure to make your reservation early to get your first choice date. Dates will become full.
If you need additional time to pay the $83 student fee, please email us at dogdays@mail.fresnostate.edu to request a fee deferment. Allow 5 business days from the time of the request for your reservation to be updated with the fee deferment. The fee deferment is NOT a waiver. It only allows additional time to make the payment.
Dog Days: New Student Orientation is a program designed to help new students transition into the University. Whether you are coming in as a transfer student from another college/university or a first-time freshman from high school, we are here to help you acclimate to campus and register for classes.
During orientation students will meet with an academic counselor, a major adviser (if available), and register for classes. In addition to learning about academic requirements, students will hear from a variety of campus programs as well as participate in a resource fair. Dog Days is mandatory for all incoming students.
Questions can be directed to the Dog Days email at dogdays@mail.fresnostate.edu. Make sure to include your Fresno State ID number when emailing.
