 Legal:

If you have a criminal record, you may be able to seek relief through changes in the Law: We work with local Public Defenders and lawyers to help you stay current on your rights and access to relief.

  • The Fresno Public Defenders' Office has a Clean Slate Program, that helps lower ended offenders in Fresno to clean up their criminal records.

  • Several counties in California are participating in a Clean Slate program, follow Clean my record and follow the prompts to see if you may be eligible for relief from several counties in California. 

  • If you have more complicated questions, please contact: Root and Rebound for questions that require legal advice. Root & Rebound operates a Reentry Legal Hotline every Friday from 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. PST. It is free and open to anyone in California with a reentry-related legal issue, question, or concern, including those who are incarcerated. Our Hotline phone number is 510-279-4662.
