About Us

The Renaissance Scholars Program provides students with a place to belong! 

Launched in 2008, the Renaissance Scholars Program was established to serve students attending Fresno State who experienced foster care or unaccompanied youth. Renaissance Scholars is a component of the Educational Opportunity Program within the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.  

The purpose of the program is to provide these students with resources, support, and a nurturing educational environment that fosters growth and the ability to obtain a college degree. Renaissance Scholars have access to a wide-range of services to help meet their academic, personal, and financial needs throughout their university experience.
