Mission

The Southeast Asian Student Success Center is committed to fostering the success of Southeast Asian students through focused outreach and support initiatives. Our mission is to reduce the achievement gap among students and create a vibrant environment that prioritizes academic excellence, retention, and graduation rates. We employ a student-centered approach, providing comprehensive mentoring, academic support, career readiness, leadership development, and cultural enrichment programs. Our overarching aim is to empower students to overcome challenges, realize their academic potential and goals and become lifelong learners who make meaningful contributions to their communities. We are dedicated to leading both campus-based and community-based efforts in alignment with the University's vision as an anchor institution.

The SEA Student Success Center focuses on the holistic development and achievement of academic, personal, and career goals of our Southeast Asian students. This will encompass academic excellence, personal growth, and successful navigation through the challenges of higher education.

Celebration of Culture and Self

The SEA Student Success Center actively recognize and celebrate the rich cultural tapestry of Southeast Asians through various events and programs. Students will develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their cultural identity, and their professional aspirations. It
includes fostering the skills and readiness required for successful careers.

Leadership Development

The SEA Student Success Center encourages the development of leadership skills to empower students to become effective advocates and contributors within their communities.

Community Leadership

The SEA Student Success Center emphasizes a sense of belonging, shared identity, and collaborative efforts through the creation of a supportive and inclusive network to empower students through mutual support and connection.

The SEA Student Success Center focuses on academic achievement, retention, and graduation, aiming to propel students towards economic and social advancement, overcoming potential obstacles and barriers in their journey.
