Educational Talent Search

Fresno State ETS

Our mission is to provide comprehensive services to students from six Central Valley High Schools and to assist, identify, and encourage participants to graduate from high school and enroll in post-secondary education.

Talent Search projects serve young people in grades six through 12. In addition to counseling, participants receive information about college admissions requirements, scholarships and various student financial aid programs. This early intervention program helps youth from low-income families to better understand their educational opportunities and options.

More than 312,000 students are enrolled in 473 Talent Search TRIO projects across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Pacfic Islands. According to the more recent data collected by the U.S. Department of Education, 80% of Talent Search participants enrolled in postsecondary institutions immediately following high school graduation.

You can Apply to our program by submitting an Online Application, downloading our paper application and dropping it off at your high school, or by picking up a paper application at your high school and returning it once complete.

Interested in volunteering for the Fresno State ETS program? We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available for current college students to gain volunteer hours, add experience to their resume, and gain connections with professional staff at the secondary and post-secondary level. (High School students, community members, and parents are also welcome to volunteer but opportunities may be limited).

ETS Summer Program

Our 2 week residential program offers students a wonderful opportunity to experience life as a college student in hopes of encouraging students to continue their academics and pursue a post-secondary education.
