Mission - To provide students with equitable support to ensure that their needs are met and they can persist to degree completion and personal success.
Vision - To empower Fresno State students by ensuring access to essential resources and fostering a supportive community that eliminates basic needs insecurities, enabling every student to thrive academically and personally.
The Center for Essential Needs is here to support your well-being and success, both
during your time as a student and in life beyond college. We take a holistic approach,
recognizing the importance of your unique experiences, identity, values, and future
goals. Essential needs are the foundation of your well-being and include access to
healthy food, safe and stable housing, financial security, medical care, technology,
and transportation.
Our services are available to all enrolled students—undergraduate, graduate, international, and undocumented. Through clinical case management, we help students overcome barriers to academic success by connecting them with essential resources and services tailored to their individual circumstances.
