Essential Needs

Welcome to the Center for Essential Needs

Mission - To provide students with equitable support to ensure that their needs are met and they can persist to degree completion and personal success.

Vision - To empower Fresno State students by ensuring access to essential resources and fostering a supportive community that eliminates basic needs insecurities, enabling every student to thrive academically and personally.

The Center for Essential Needs provides support to help students navigate challenges that can impact their well-being and academic success. We take a practical, student-centered approach, recognizing the importance of access to basic needs such as food, housing, and financial security.

Our services are available to all enrolled students, including undergraduate, graduate, international, and undocumented students. Through clinical case management, we connect students with essential resources and help them address barriers to stability, so they can stay focused on their education.
