Supplemental Grant Aid
Our Supplemental Grant Aid (SGA) is financial assistance that is typically offered each Fall and Spring semester to eligible TRIO SSS-D students. To be eligible to apply for SGA, applicants must:
- Demonstrate financial need
- Be enrolled in at least 6 units
- Be eligible for financial aid through FAFSA
- Receive the Federal Pell Grant
- Have *unmet financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
Priority will be given to applicants who:
- Are in their first two years of postsecondary education
- Completed all Participant Requirements
- Are an active TRIO SSS-D participant
If students are experiencing financial burdens which affect their academic performance prior to the application being offerred, students are welcome to meet with their TRIO SSS-D Advisor for further information.
Funds are limited and all applications are reviewed by a committee. Depending on financial need and fund avaliability, not all applicants are guaranteed being awarded the SGA. Awardees are determined by their financial need and program participation. All eligible students are encouraged to apply!
*Please note this grant is disbursed through the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships and will affect your Cost of Attendance (COA).
