WorkAbility I (WAI) provides comprehensive pre-employment skills training, employment placement and follow-up
for high school students in special education who are making the transition from school
to work, independent living, and postsecondary education or training. The WAI program
services are appropriate to individual student needs, abilities, and interests.
The CA Department of Education provides information and resources to serve the unique needs of persons with disabilities
so that each person will meet or exceed high standards of achievement in academic
and nonacademic skills.
Disability Rights of California (DRC) defends, advances, and strengthens the rights and opportunities of people with disabilities.
The CA Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) works in partnership with consumers and other stakeholders to provide services and
advocacy resulting in employment, independent living, and equality for individuals
with disabilities.
