Transfer Success Center

Advising

'Academic Advising

Academic Advising is an essential component for students to graduate in a timely manner. This is even more timely for transfer students who have a shorter amount of time to navigate the university. To support students advising needs, every College/School on campus has a dedicated advising center. These academic counselors are just one component of the advising community on campus. A majority of students at Fresno State will have two advisors on campus.

The first is an Academic Counselor located in one of the dedicated Advising Centers on campus. These counselors can assist you with class selection, graduation requirements, in addition to many other services. Find your college below to be linked the their website.

The second advisor will be a major advisor. This is typically a faculty member from your major department who can assist you with all things related to your major. Check your Student Center to see who your assigned advisors are or contact their department for more information.
