Reimagining the Student Experience and Redefining Student Success
We are redefining student success and redesigning the student experience at Fresno
State.
We define student success expansively, including more than academic achievement. Students
will be able to take care of themselves and others, engage with their communities,
thrive in uncertainty, and overcome life’s obstacles.
Students will be equipped to dream and succeed on our campus and beyond.
Goals to Guide Us in Meeting Our Mission
- Expand recruitment and outreach efforts to promote the Fresno State brand as the university
of choice in the Central Valley and beyond with emphasis on closing opportunity-gaps
for underrepresented students.
- Inspire students to build meaningful connections, connect with community, and participate
in co-curricular and experiential learning.
- Propel students towards developing durable skills attributing to a culture of well-being
and lifelong learning.
- Motivate staff to engage in ongoing professional development to improve the divisional
climate.
- Activate a comprehensive development plan to increase philanthropic support.
