Chicanx Youth Conference

The Chicanx Youth Conference (CYC) is hosted under the department of Outreach and
Special Programs at Fresno State. The conference has a target audience of 6th to 12th grade Chicanx students from all school districts. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for future students
to explore the pathways into post-secondary education. Workshops will feature themes
of access to higher education, social justice, cultural awareness, and leadership
and careers. *Workshops are subject to change*
Guest registeration is required to attend with no registration fee and lunch will
be provided for all registered youth. Deadline to registration will close on Sunday, January, 21, 2024 or when capacity
is full.

Super Sunday

Introduction
CSU Super Saturday began more than a decade ago as a collaboration between the CSU, its campuses and predominantly African American churches throughout California. The purpose is to increase the rate of African American students enrolling and graduating from the CSU. During, Super Sunday, CSU leaders attend Sunday services and from the pulpit speak to the congregation about the importance of a higher education. After the service, students and parents have an opportunity to meet CSU experts in admissions and financial aid.

Annual Laotian Educational Conference Fresno

The Annual Lao American Educational Conference (ALEC) at Fresno State will be hosted by the Laotian American Community of Fresno (LACF) and Outreach and Special Programs. This conference provides an opportunity to bring the Lao American students together to celebrate a day of learning, growing and empowering one another.
Open invitation to all 7th - 12th grade students. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please contact your school counselor for more information.

Feria de Educación
Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The purpose of Feria de Educación is to empower thousands of Spanish-speaking parents and students by providing them with information and resources to help them succeed in California’s educational system, attend post-secondary education, and attain their professional goals. Feria de Educación is a community fair held for students and their parents to participate in workshops held in Spanish. The workshops provide information and community resources that support college readiness.
Super Saturday African American College and Career Summit

Super Saturday African American College and Career Summit is an annual event sponsored by Outreach and Special Programs and the Black Student Success Initiative at Fresno State. Super Saturday is an event aimed at supporting students with resources for college readiness and retention. This event is also to help parents better understand how they can support their students who go away to college. There are breakout sessions students can attend on subjects like STEM, art-based activities, A-G requirements, and financial aid workshops. There will also a vendor fair advertising services on campus and in the community.

Native American Youth Conference

The Native American Youth Conference (NAYC) has a target audience of 6th to 12th grade Native American students from all school districts. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for future students to explore the pathways towards higher education by participating in workshops covering application admissions information, financial aid and scholarships, A-G requirements, student services, and resources. Along with hearing from a special guest keynote speaker, cultural and higher education presentations, and providing on and off campus resources to help students excel. There is no registration fee and lunch is provided for all registered youth including a free conference t-shirt.
Guest registration is open for students, parents/chaperone's, and community members. The registration deadline will close on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 6 p.m.
