ASI Election Candidates
ASI Elections are an important part of campus involvment. It allows students to help make changes throughout the campus for their fellow students. Some programs that started in ASI grow and get taken over by other campus organizations once they expand outside of our capacity and have proven their importance around campus. Examples of such programs include, Free Menstral products in campus restrooms, Campus Childcare, Tech support/Tech lending. ASI thanks every candidate and student who votes or participates in Elections for choosing to make a difference.

Madison Cañon
Hey Bulldogs! I am Madison Cañon, a political science major with a criminology minor. Originally from New Jersey and raised in San Diego, I'm an active member of the Moot Court team who is running for ASI to strengthen student engagement and campus life. I believe Fresno State should feel like a true community, not just a place to attend classes. I will work to create more fun opportunities, amplify student voices, and bring the energy back to our school.

Alya Hassan
Hey Bulldogs! I'm Alya, and I'm running to be your next ASI President. As your Senator, I've advocated for student needs, supported initiatives, and promoted affordability. As President, I’ll continue this work by expanding counseling services to address mental health and enhancing campus infrastructure with improved student spaces and outdoor charging stations. I’ll also make education more affordable by reducing textbook costs and easing financial burdens. My goal is a campus that works for every student. Vote Alya for President!

Maris Prado
Hi everyone! I’m Maris Prado, a graduate student in Agricultural Sciences, proud transfer student, and second-generation Fresno State Bulldog. From JCAST Senator to Executive Vice President, I lead with intention and a commitment to putting students first. Sarai Hernandez
When times change, students are often the first to feel the impact. Balancing work, school, and life isn’t easy. My name is Sarai Hernandez, a third year Marketing major. I’m running for ASI to strengthen the connection between student government and the students we serve. Through my work as Senator for Veteran and Transfer Students, I’ve seen where we can improve communication, transparency, and resource allocation. I’m committed to building strong partnerships that make every student feel welcomed and represented.

Sean-Micheal Roberts
I’m running for ASI to bring real energy and connection back to campus. I want to work with clubs, Greek life, and athletics to create events students actually want to attend. My goal is simple: increase engagement, build community, and make Fresno State a place students are proud to be part of.

Cody Jarvis
My name is Cody Jarvis and I am the current ASI Senator for Research & Innovation and a junior political science transfer student. I am running for Vice President of External Affairs with the purpose of 1. Holding the Cal State Student Association accountable when spending student fees, 2. Creating and pursuing a legislative agenda that will reflect the needs of our students and 3. Making sure the Central Valley is well represented because for tomorrow's future, we take action today!

Julian Narvaez
My name is Julian Narvaez, and I’m running for Vice President of External Affairs to ensure our student voices lead to real action beyond campus. I believe leadership is about delivering results, not just ideas. I will push for affordability, access to resources, and new opportunities by engaging with leaders beyond our university, while keeping students informed every step of the way. JC Delgado
My name is JC Delgado. I view the arts and humanities as being vital for the flourishing of the local community, college, and individual. I aim to support and bring recognition to the important work that our students accomplish—whether it be our amazing theatre productions, captivating student art in the Conley Art Gallery, inspiring student music recitals, or thought-provoking poems in our student-led collections. Terrence Martin
My name is Terrence Martin, and I’m running for the position of CSB Senator. Through my involvement with CSB and the Dean’s Office, and serving as Founder and President of the Data Analytics Student Association (DASA), I have gained valuable experience and insight into the complexity of the business school. As your future CSB Senator, I am eager to amplify student voices and concerns. By leveraging my deep campus connections, I will ensure continued progress toward strengthening our business school.

Emmanuel Morcos
Hey students, I'm thankful to have the chance to be your next ASI senator for the Craig School of Business. I hope to use the experience I gained from my previous term as senator and apply it to the next level. That means campaigning for more manageable course options, along with creating additional alumni networking opportunities to help students find careers in their field post-graduation. Charles Weldon
As an accounting student in the Craig School of Business, I’m running to represent students with honesty and transparency. It shouldn’t be hard to understand decisions that affect us, and I want to make communication clearer and more accessible. I also want to support career opportunities and resources that help us succeed beyond the classroom. Hi! I’m Sydney Pierce and I am re-running for the Jordan College Senator position. Over this year I have fixed the air in the Agriculture bathrooms, put on National ag week, and fundraised a substantial amount of money for the Jordan college/agricultural charities. Over this semester I have found my footing. So I can really put my plans into action. Plans like building new tables in the ag quad and creating an indoor space for Jordan students to reside

My goal is to increase transparency between students and the administration, advocate for better access to professional resources, and foster a united community. Manjot Kaur
I have experience as a student leader and psychology major and focus on increasing representation of students while improving health on campus. I plan to address three issues: student stress levels; access to resources (such as mental health); and how students engage with one another and the administration. To this end, I will implement programs that increase well-being, improve communication between students and administrators, and promote an inclusive campus community where all students feel supported at Fresno State University.

Yamin Kiwan
Hello! My name is Yamin Kiwan, and I am running for Senator of CSM. I am a sophomore Biology major in the Smittcamp Family Honors College, aspiring to become an emergency medicine physician. I love being a student at Fresno State and staying involved both within and beyond CSM. From conducting scientific research since my freshman year to working in high-stress environments as an EMT, I have grown into someone students can trust to lead with dedication.

My name is Jasmin Barrera and I am running for Senator At-Large. I am a third year student studying Liberal Studies. I have been on many organizations, clubs and committee teams. Heriberto Campos-Melchor
At Fresno State, Heriberto is a double major in political science and Anthropology, while pursuing a minor in water and Hmong studies. I have always been driven to serve others; if it helps bring others joy, I always knew it was the right answer. All of which, as well as my experience as a former White House intern, strengthened my commitment to service, leadership, and meaningful advocacy.
