ASI Elections

Each year ASI conducts its Annual Student Body Elections where all qualifying students vote to elect the next cohort of student body representatives for the following year. Election season begins in late January or early February and ends in March. Voting occurs througout a three day period and students can access their electronic ballots via their student emails to cast their respective votes fo all qualifying candidates and offices. After the three day voting period concludes, ASI staff announces the election results, which can be found online, social media channels, and on the information board outside the ASI offices. Once the new student representatives are announced, ASI hosts an installation ceremony at the beginning of June to swear in and install the new cohort of student leaders.

What is the Guide?

Also called the Student Reference Sheet, this is a guide for students to use to help them learn and find the various resources available to them on campus. ASI worked with various campus departments to develop a comprehensive list of resources in one place. Here you will find contact information for various campus organizations along with brief descriptions of what role each organization and department has on campus. Please visit the Fresno State website for their list of campus organizations that are currently operational.

Know your Rights as a Student on Campus?

The Student Bill of Rights serves as a resource for students and is an avenue for them to voice their concern about potential violations in and outside the classroom. ASI takes the Student Bill of Rights seriously and will assist in facilitating the necessary processes to ensure students are protected. Just as the University has expectations of students, the University also has expectations for faculty. For more information about expectations of faculty and others, please refer to the Universities Academic Policy Manual (APM).

Below there are two links. The first is a summary of students’ rights that ASI believes are essential to student success. The second is a link to a form you can submit if you believe your rights were infringed by a faculty member or any other member of the campus community. The Student Bill of Rights provides a voice for students, while helping expand accountability on our campus to protect the student body. Help us grow as a university by ensuring your rights are protected.

Step 1: Check your rights Step 2: Submit a violation
