Alya Hassan, Senator for Health & Human Services

 Alya Hassan is an incoming senior in the Social Work program. She quickly immersed herself in campus life after transferring to Fresno State. She has held leadership roles in both the Social Work Student Association and the Muslim Student Association. Currently, she serves as an orientation leader with the Dog Days program, helping new students transition smoothly to Fresno State. 

Off campus, Alya dedicates her time to mentoring fifth and sixth grade girls at Sunset Elementary School every week. Passionate about advocacy and transformative change, she plans to continue her education by pursuing a Master's degree in Social Work.
