SSD updates Spring 2024

Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) will be participating in the Dog Days Lunch and Learn! 

Are you a student who's had a 504 plan, an Individualized Education Program (IEP) in high school, or received disability accommodations at a community college? Join us during your Dog Days orientation to learn how to seamlessly transition to Fresno State and apply for essential services. Discover the types of services offered and the support system available. Empower yourself for academic success with the support you deserve.

Dates: June 24, 25, 26, 27, 28  

            July, 1, 2, , 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

Time:  12:30 PM-12:55 PM

Location: Fresno State Library, room 1202 (first floor, south wing)

If you are registered to take summer school, don't forget to log into your mySSD Student Portal to request your faculty notification letters. 

Request your Accommodations/Faculty Notifications, each semester:

  •  Log In to the mySSD Student Portal, using your Fresno State email/password
  • Every semester that you use accommodations, you will be asked to review the Agreements (guidelines and procedures) for every accommodation you utilize: Read these, then sign your name at the bottom to proceed.
  • Select "List Request", under "Accommodations" on the left hand side of page.  
    Select the "plus sign" or "Add Requests for [number of] classes", select each course that you wish to request accommodations for.
  • If you wish to request the same accommodations for ALL classes, select the checkbox in yellow that says "Apply the same accommodations for all courses." You will then Proceed to step 2 and select the accommodations you'd like for each course. Then Submit Request to finalize.
  • Otherwise, Proceed to step 2, and select accommodations for each individual class.  You have the opportunity on this page to "Select All" for each class, or if you don't need accommodations for a course you selected, select the button that states "I do not need accommodations for this course."
  • Complete the request, by selecting "Submit Request" on the right hand side of the page.
  • That’s it!  You are done!
  • The Notification Letters will be emailed to your professors directly from SSD.

The mySSD Student Portal had a makover! There have been some slight updates and we will be updating the videos on our website soon. In the meantime, go to your mySSD Student Portal and check out the new look!
