SSSV Services
Individualized Academic Counseling
Academic advising and planning are provided to each program participant on an individual basis. Areas of support includes: planning semester schedules, monitoring of academic progress, and helping with personal development and wellness. Information regarding financial aid, career preparation support, study abroad programs, scholarships, fellowships, internships, and graduate school preparation is provided as needed. Meet with our SSSV Veterans counselor to ensure you develop a successful graduation plan.
Access: Academic counseling will be facilitated in-person, Zoom and/or phone. Schedule your appointment through Bulldog Connect.
Reading and Writing Instruction Support
Individual assistance in reading and writing is available through our Reading/Writing Specialist. Bring your reading/writing assignments or projects to Lab School 10!
University 8 (Veteran Focus)
UNIV 8 is a 50-min., 1-unit course that meets once a week. The course is designed to give meaningful and useful information to students about their non-cognitive learning and study strategies to help promote student responsibility for individual performance. This course is facilitated by our Reading & Writing Specialist and community partners from the VA Central California Health Care System.

Veteran University Community Builders
Our Veteran University Community Builders are here to assist other Veteran students academically and with any military-student related topics. Computer Lab & Free Printing
TRIO SSSV has a computer lab with online services available for active SSSV participants. We are one of only two places on campus that offers FREE color printing services to our students. The computer lab is located in our SSSV office, Lab School Room 10.
Laptop Loan
Participants are able to borrow a Dell laptop for their academic needs. Please email ssspv@mail.fresnostate.edu to request a laptop loan.
Textbook Reference Library Loan
Our Textbook Reference Library is now available for current TRIO SSSV participants! Check if your book is listed in our library inventory: Textbook Reference Library
Books have been generously donated from students and staff. Note: Only viewable for those with Fresno State email account.
