There are two main things you should do to prepare for Dog Days Orientation. This will help you make the most of an exciting (and information-packed) day!
1. Complete your Online Pre-Orientation. This provides important information about campus resources, as well as advising and class registration. Pre-orientation takes about one hour to complete, and you don't need to do it all at once. To get started, go to this page, click on "New Student Account", and create an account using your Fresno State email address and Fresno State ID number (you can find this at the top of your Orientation confirmation email, sent from DogDays@mail.fresnostate.edu).
2. Get ready to register for classes. At the end of Orientation, you will register for classes with help from your Academic Counselor. To help you get into the classes you want, prepare to register by attending a pre-Dog Days Virtual Workshop. These will take place on November 22 and December 5; find more information here.

Dog Days Orientation is a critical step for enrolling at Fresno State, as it is where you will register for classes with support from your Academic Counselor. If you can no longer attend the Orientation date you registered for, contact the Orientation Office as soon as possible to reschedule. The later you attend Orientation, the harder it might be to get into the classes you need for your degree.
A few things to know for Orientation:
1. What to bring. A pen and paper for taking notes. If you have any questions related to immunization
records, transcripts, financial aid, etc., bring any related materials with you so
you can get these questions answered. Having your Orientation Confirmation email handy
might be helpful too.
2. Getting there. If you'll be parking on campus for Orientation, you will need to download the PayByPhone mobile app to obtain a parking permit. On the day of Orientation, register for an
account, search for location code 42020, and enter your vehicle license plate and other information as prompted. Parking is free–you will be asked for your credit card but it will not be charged.
3. Where to go. Parking will be in Lot 1, located near the Shaw and Maple entrance to campus. Park in the green lot spaces only; parking in the metered spaces is not permitted. Check-in for Orientation will be
at the student union.
4. Be in attendance for the full Orientation. You must arrive promptly and stay until the end of Orientation to be able to register
for classes.
If you need any accommodations for Orientation, please contact the Orientation Office.

You will need your Student ID card to access buildings on campus, including for your classes. Plus, your ID can get you great perks like discounted entertainment tickets at the USU Information Center and free rides on FAX (Fresno Area Express) Buses. It can take a few weeks to mail, so make sure to request your ID immediately after you attend Orientation:
1. Make sure your mailing address is correct. Log into the My Fresno State portal, click "Student Self Service," then "My Personal Information." If the information
is incorrect, click "Mailing Address," then "Add a new address," enter your information,
and select "Mail" for the "Address Type." Once done, hit the "Save" button.
2. Have someone take a photo of you for your ID (no selfies) following US Passport guidelines.
3. When you receive the Fresno State ID Card Photo Submission Link email (this will be sent to your Fresno State Gmail from idcard@mail.fresnostate.edu after you attend Orientation), click the "Submit Your Photo" button.
4. Upload a JPG or PNG of your photo. Don't forget to also upload a photo of your
government issued identification.
After your photo is submitted and approved, your ID will be mailed to your address on file. If the ID is denied for any reason, you will receive an email with the denial reason asking you to resubmit.

All incoming students at Fresno State need to submit proof of immunizations and a TB Screening Questionnaire. Begin as early as possible to give yourself enough time to complete this process. Failure to do so will block you from registering for Fall 2025 classes.
1. Go to the MyBulldogHealth portal. Log in using your My Fresno State username and password.
2. On the left side of the portal, click "Medical Clearances."
3. Submit documentation for each required immunization shown (you can read more about
the requirements here). For each immunization, if there are multiple options shown–such as “Vaccine History,"
“Test Results," or “Previous Illness/Infection”–you only need to submit documentation
for one of these options. For example, if you don’t have your “Vaccine History," you
can get a blood test called the titer through the Student Health and Counseling Center
or another healthcare provider. If this test shows that you are immune, upload this
documentation under “Test Results” for the relevant immunization. For more information,
watch this video.
4. Complete any remaining items required for clearance, such as the Informed Consent
forms. Don’t forget to complete the TB Screen Questionnaire.
Please allow up to 10 business days for submitted documentation to be reviewed. Once all documentation has been approved, your clearance status (see the orange text next to “Medical Clearances” on the left side of the Health portal) should change from “Not Satisfied” to “Satisfied.”
Note: If you'd like to apply for an exemption to a vaccination for medical or religious reasons, click on "Request an Exemption" at the bottom of the “Medical Clearances” page.

1. Log into the My Fresno State portal and click "Student Self-Service."
2. Click the green arrow next to "My Admissions and Program Applications."
3. Below, click the "Univ Application Status" link.
4. On the next page, locate the "Transcripts" box. Under the "Transcript Action" column,
check if your transcript(s) is "Received," "Desired," or "Not Desired.”

If you have any questions related to immunization
records, transcripts, financial aid, etc., bring any related materials with you. Having
your Orientation Confirmation email handy might be helpful too.
2. Getting there. If you'll be parking on campus for orientation, you will need to download the PayByPhone
mobile app to obtain a parking permit. On the day of orientation, register for an
account, search for location code 42020, and enter your vehicle license plate and
other information as prompted. Parking is free–you will be asked for your credit card
but it will not be charged.
3. Where to go. Parking will be in Lot 1, located near the Shaw and Maple entrance to campus. Park
in the green lot spaces only; parking in the metered spaces is not permitted. Check-in
for orientation will be at the student union.
4. Be in attendance for the full orientation. You must arrive promptly and stay until the end of orientation to be able to register
for classes.
If you need any accommodations for orientation, please contact the Orientation Office. Note: Fresno State must receive your final transcripts, including from any Spring 2025 classes (if applicable), before you can register for classes. You can register for classes after the deadline, though we recommend registering as soon as possible as classes tend to fill up quickly.

All incoming students at Fresno State must submit proof of immunizations and a TB Screening Questionnaire. Begin as early as possible to give yourself enough time to complete this process. Failure to do so will block you from registering for Spring 2026 classes.
1. Go to the MyBulldogHealth portal. Log in using your My Fresno State username and password.
2. On the left side of the portal, click "Medical Clearances."
3. Submit documentation for each required immunization shown (you can read more about
the requirements here). For each immunization, if there are multiple options shown–such
as “Vaccine History," “Immunization Record Upload," or “Previous Illness/Infection”–you
only need to submit documentation for one of these options. For example, if you don’t
have your “Vaccine History," you can get a blood test called the titer through the
Student Health and Counseling Center or another healthcare provider. If this test
shows that you are immune, upload this documentation under “Immunization Record Upload”
for the relevant immunization. For more information, watch this video.
