Grants
Next to scholarships, grants are the most attractive form of financial assistance because grants do not need to be repaid provided students maintain their grant eligibility.
Federal Grants:Federal grants consist of the Pell Grant and the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant(FSEOG). The Pell grant is usually awarded to undergraduates who have not earned a bachelor's or professional degree and demonstrated eligibility. The SEOG is Awarded to undergraduates with exceptional financial need--that is, students with the lowest Expected Family Contributions (EFC)--with priority given to students who receive Federal Pell Grants. An FSEOG does not have to be paid back.

Apply for financial aid (submit a FAFSA), as soon as possible after January 1, each year you are in school. Students are considered for all grants listed here upon submission of a FAFSA. Unfortunately, many funds are exhausted long before the FAFSA application period ends. Please submit your FAFSA as early as possible to have the best opportunity for grant consideration. If a supplemental application is required, eligible students will be contacted and encouraged to apply.
